GUNSAN DOG LAND

Helping the Dogs and Cats of Gunsan

WHO WE ARE

Here at Gunsan DogLand, our mission is simple: to help the dogs (and cats!) of Gunsan live happier, healthier lives. Our rescues come from terrible situations like dog meat farms or abusive homes and are often in need of a place to live. Our goal is to find a safe place for each and every pet we rescue—here in Korea or anywhere in the world.

Adoptable Pets

If you would like to visit Gunsan DogLand to adopt a pet or are interested in adoption, please contact us using the button below. We welcome international adoptions.

RESCUE AND SHELTERING OF UNWANTED PETS

We rescue pets from "puppy mills," the dog meat trade, abusive or neglectful homes, and the streets. Until we can find their forever families, pets are given a loving home at Gunsan DogLand.

DOMESTIC & INTERNATIONAL ADOPTIONS

Our goal is to get every pet adopted and we work hard to find local homes for the pets of DogLand. When we can't find a local home for a pet, we work with pet adoption and advocacy groups worldwide to relocate these pets to states and countries where the pets can be adopted.

URGENT AND PREVENTATIVE MEDICAL CARE

The pets we care for often need basic health care like vaccines, routine procedures like spay & neuter surgeries, and sometimes serious medical treatment. These procedures are all costly and require close supervision.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions (Common Questions)

How is my donation used?

We rely on donations from contributors all around the world. 100% of your donation is applied directly toward the care, housing, medical costs, transportation costs, and food for the pets at Gunsan DogLand.

Why is it called "Dog Land"?

Gunsan DogLand, also known as Gunsan Organic (No-Kill) Animal Sanctuary, was originally designed to be a cafe/theme park dedicated to celebrating pets. However, when a nearby shelter was found to be abusing their pets, we took them in. They soon became guests at DogLand, which is now a dedicated animal shelter.

How many pets are at Dog Land?

At any given time we typically have between 300-600 pets in our care looking for their forever families.

Saving one pet won't change the world, but for that pet the world will change forever.
